Chief Estimator

Position Summary:

The Chief Estimator is responsible for overseeing the estimating team, generating accurate and competitive bids, and driving sales activities to ensure continued company growth. He or she plays a key role in sales strategy, working closely with construction, Turnkey, and customer departments to maximize business opportunities.

Main responsibilities :

• Estimating team management: Coordinate and lead the team to ensure the production of high-quality bids that meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Bid preparation: Oversee the preparation and review of cost estimates, including labor, materials and equipment required for ventilation projects.
• Customer relations: Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and potential customers, proposing solutions tailored to their needs.
• Tender analysis: Carry out in-depth analysis of tenders, specifications, and plans to identify risks and opportunities.
• Negotiation and sales: Actively participate in contract negotiations and ensure that sales are concluded, while respecting the profit margins set by the company.
• Interdepartmental collaboration: Work closely with project management, construction and turnkey teams to ensure smooth project progress and customer satisfaction.
• Performance reporting and analysis: Track and analyze bid, sales, and margin results to make recommendations for improving performance.
• Competitive intelligence: Monitor market trends, competition, and innovations in the ventilation field to adapt estimating and sales strategies.Skills required:

  Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years estimating experience in ventilation or HVAC.
  • Experience in team management and technical project sales.
  • Knowledge of estimating software and project management tools.

  Working conditions:

  • Occasional travel to project sites.
