Project Manager

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the execution of construction projects. As the central point of communication between stakeholders, he/she will manage projects while ensuring compliance with deadlines, budget and quality, maximizing the productivity of work teams.

Job description

  • File analysis: Review estimating and design files, as well as technical plans and specifications;
  • Project planning: Establish a plan of action for carrying out projects while respecting objectives and deadlines;
  • Purchasing strategies: Develop purchasing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality of materials, equipment and lead times;
  • Stakeholder coordination: Collaborate with customers, architects, engineers and other trades to coordinate all aspects of the project;
  • Priority tracking: Define priorities and develop a detailed schedule, ensuring compliance with established deadlines;
  • Change management : Analyze and respond to change requests, estimate additional costs, and communicate impacts with stakeholders;
  • Production and delivery: Supervise component production, plan delivery logistics and ensure proper execution;
  • Budget management: Monitor and adjust the budget in real time, and ensure that costs are kept under control throughout the project;
  • Coordination of subcontractors and crews: Manage subcontractors and installation crews in close collaboration with the operations department;
  • Supervision of draftsmen: In collaboration with the design team, participate in the supervision of draftsmen for the creation of installation plans;
  • Billing and profitability: Prepare monthly statements, optimize billing strategies to maintain profitability;
  • Commissioning: Plan and supervise system commissioning, and ensure final project delivery in line with customer expectations;
  • Company Representation: Act as company representative with professionals, contractors, and customers;
  • Related duties : Assume all other responsibilities related to the successful completion of projects.

Profile required

  • DEC in building mechanics, bachelor’s degree in engineering, or other relevant training;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to learn and master new computer software quickly;
  • Good command of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Proficiency in MS project (an asset)
  • Sharp sense of priority management and organization;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
