Dispatcher

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching service calls related to air conditioning, heating, ventilation (HVAC) and combustion for the commercial and industrial sectors.

Job description

• Handle service calls: Receive and analyze customer requests;
• Classify calls according to urgency and customer needs;
• Coordinate service calls, taking into account technicians’ skills, availability and location;
• Ensure work orders are completed on time and reassign tasks if necessary;
• Maintenance contract management: Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules;
• Verify accuracy of information related to interventions (hours, parts, etc.);
• Customer coordination: Process technician recommendations and schedule future appointments with customers;
• Contribute to the overall smooth running of operations.

Profile required

• Academic level: High school diploma;
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in dispatching service calls in the HVAC and/or plumbing sector, or in building mechanics in the commercial and industrial sectors;
• Ability and ease in learning and using new computer software / Knowledge of Progression live operating software (asset);
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills;
• Autonomous and organized;
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
• Facility with computer software.
